What to Pray For?
The main goal of this group is to pray for the Political and Civil leaders of the United States. That all leaders including CEO's of the largest companies in our country make decisions that affect all of us based on what is the best for all people and the planet instead of what is best for them personally or the bottom line of the company!
We pray our leaders are compassionate, conduct business with the highest integrity, and act as God leads them.
When we pray we pray with faith and confidence that God is doing as we ask. We see our country as strong, healthy, lead by people who are lead by God. We see our country as God intended it to be the leader and example to all the world of what strength, compassion, and love can do. (Actually, I think that is His intent for all countries but we are focusing on the U.S. right now.)
We don't whine about our leaders or listen to others talking badly about them. If we want to be part of the solution, we have to stop the complaining and encourage others to do the same. We have to start seeing and believing in what we want our country to look like, not it's current situation. Remember Faith is belief in the unseen!
When I wake up, go to bed, or any time I think about it I say: Thank you Jesus for our awesome leaders and country. They are the best and I appreciate Lord you bringing them to us and making them the awesome leaders they are. Thank you. Thank you. I actually get excited to see what God is going to do in our country! I encourage you to do something similar.
Encourage your friends, family, prayer groups, etc. to join this group. When a million people or so start praying and acting this way, I believe we will see great changes in our country!
It may seem Utopian or pollyanna to some of you and perhaps it is but I know if we don't do something different we are only going to get worse. I have no idea how to solve our problems and I don't think anyone on the planet does. God knows how and He is the one we believe in and trust!
I will occasionally send out a request for prayers for a few short term items but for the most part our focus is for strength, compassion, and God lead leaders in our political and civil arenas!
